Pattie Wente fired me in 2001, saying I had sent an “anti semitic email” to NPR. When she was fired, I spoke with the PD who had to do her dirty work. He apologized profusely. “There was never any kind of complaint, Patti made it up to get rid of you.” The reason? One week before, Garrison Keillor was at the station, and I mentioned the name of a mutual acquaintance. Patti thought I had been “too forward.” The next week, I was fired, the day before staff photos for the website were to be made.

Patti.. I hope you’ve worked out your issues and are working the steps. I know 12 are a lot, but you’ll get through them if you try.

You can like it, or you can not like it. Just because you have the same “nickname” doesn’t link you in any way. TSOYA is a great show, so listen or don’t. This little “open letter” thing is inconsequential to anyone but you. There’s nothing to “work out” and you sound like a silly girl. (I am not affiliated with TSOYA, just a fan) Thanks.
