About R/S

Radio Sweethearts is dedicated to public radio in all of its wonderful forms. We focus on NPR, PRI, APM, the coverage of the coverage, gross speculation about correspondents, and trying to convince everyone else to love this medium as much as we do. (We’d also like to see Bob Garfield get some play. Is that too much to ask?)

Radio Sweethearts

Matthew Trisler is pretty smart, but in the fun way (as opposed to the way that makes people want to punch him in the face). He’s about to graduate from Ball State with a degree in creative writing.

When he’s not posting, editing, or being our foremost blowhard on illegal wiretapping, he’s probably at home, drinking a bunch of coffee and writing an awesome song or poem. He is loved by many – small children, small-town baristas and fluffy animals can’t resist his charm.

Widely regarded as “the friendly one” by most readers of Radio Sweethearts, Matthew has excellent taste in everything. When he grows up, he would like to be an astronaut.

Kerry Crawford was not raised by wolves. She has the big ideas that have resulted in this Web site. She works at the Memphis Commercial Appeal in online classifieds. That’s not completely accurate, but would take 20 minutes to explain properly. She enjoys girl group songs about boyfriends dying in motorcycle accidents. Matthew is therefore hesitant to buy a motorcycle.

That which annoys Kerry Crawford is promptly deleted. Her small frame contains 20% of the world’s naturally occurring deposits of snark. Under no circumstances should you tell Kerry no. Doing so will only encourage her.

Due to risk of electric shock, Radio Sweethearts should not be operated in wet environments. Do not feed the Radio Sweethearts. We want Radio Sweethearts to remain wild. Human contact does not risk the domestication of Radio Sweethearts. Email them here.
