I don’t know why people get upset by businesses saying “Happy Holidays.” I mean, New Year’s is only a week later, Chanukah is right in there, as is Kwanzaa and the Solstice. It’s cool. I don’t want to change store decorations that frequently. And “Holiday” derives from “Holy day” which, while it’s a stretch for New Year’s, treats the others fairly.
It’s cold. There was even a snowball fight in Times Square the other night.
We haven’t had any snow yet, but the fact that all of our windows are single-pane makes me terribly grateful for that.
All of this is to say that we don’t get a whole lot of time off of our day jobs, so we’re not really taking this time off from R/S. Not fully. We’ll be a bit sparse and sporadic until the first week of January.

I’ll be posting my “On the Media” commentary tomorrow, and we’ll call it a week. Next week will have attention paid, as well, but I can’t predict that.
You all hang tight. Or rather, go, scatter, be with your loved ones. It’s Christmas. They’re more important.
