So I’d meant, in all earnesty, to come back to regular posting on Tuesday.
And if I would have done what my knowledge of Memphis told me to do, I wouldn’t have gone to the venue for Bonnie “Prince” Billy in time for doors to open. I would have waited at least two more hours, which would have given me time to go ahead and blog.
But no, everything I’ve heard about his new record, “Beware,” has had me eager and jumping to make it over to Minglewood Hall to see Mr. Oldham and his band.
I’m feeling sick tonight – not necessarily achey or vomitous, but just exhausted from the air conditioner at work being busted, and from moving work and home at the same time – and so I’m feeling rather lazy.
I’d like just to note with this post that I’ve written about Bonnie “Prince” Billy before – and not all that long ago. Enjoy checking out better work from a better day. I’ll be back up, full force, posse in effect, by the next time I post. I swear, you guys.
