We’re back – It was kind of a busy weekend

The wedding was awesome. A huge thanks goes out to everyone that came, wished us well, helped us decorate, left sweet comments, etc. It was beautiful, and fun, and we couldn’t be happier that you were all there with us.

The wedding also meant that we were able to meet some of our long-time favorite NPR people in real life. Laura Conaway (Planet Money, formerly of the BPP) and Sarah Goodyear  (Streetsblog, BPP book club) were able to make it, and they’re just as charming and friendly and lovely in real life as they are on the internet and on the radio.

Plenty of stuff happened while we were away – “On the Media” interviewed Chris Peck, the editor of the Commercial Appeal about the database of handgun carry permits that’s caused quite a stir (and, much to the delight of everyone on the online ops team – made it onto the “Colbert Report”).

The interview was part of a larger episode about the internet and privacy. We listened to it last night as we made dinner, and were both pleased with it. Great job, Brooke and Bob.

Also, in basketball upset news -  the Ball State Lady Cardinals beat the University of Tennessee Lady Vols. I wanted to link to it, but NPR doesn’t seem to be as thrilled about this as I am. Chirp Chirp, fear the bird!

Your deputy groomsman-in-chief is totally pissed that he’s been cut out of this photo.

But whatever, it’s not about me. Congrats again to you both.
