When Kerry and I started R/S, we thought we were the only kids on the block with a geeky public radio fanblog.
Turns out we were wrong. Public Radio Redux beat us to the scene. Erin Mishkin and Jen Nathan have a different take on it. Nathan is an independent radio producer, and that inborn aesthetic permeates her posts – more often than not, the stories she picks out for posting are not just interesting, but sound great.
But now there’s a new player. Former WBEZ staff guy Josh Andrews has started Radio Public, a clearinghouse for everything he and collaborator Roman Mars find interesting on the airwaves (or digital transmission). Their mission, like ours and Public Radio Redux’s, is to simply elevate the best the medium has to offer.
His posts come more frequently than ours, and there are several reasons for that (Kerry and I both work, like, all the time, for one), but the quality of the commentary remains top-notch.
Go on, leave us for a second, give both Radio Public and Public Radio Redux a good read, and let them know Radio Sweethearts sent you.

Thanks for the nice words! Have you checked out The Mediavore? The folks at Louisville Public Media have a similar mission but far more time and resources than the rest of us public radio geeks. If you’re looking for near constant updates on what’s great on public radio and television, check them out.
Thanks for the tip o the hat! I second Jen’s recommendation of Mediavore. Keep up the good work on R/S.
