On particularly rough and stressful days, I tend to go in search of good news that’s a little more heart warming than people dancing to “Thriller” or potential assassins being caught. Those things are great and all, but they’re not as great as this: Elephant 6 is on tour again.
“All Songs Considered” has posted a recording of the full concert right here. This is especially good, considering that the closest concert that the collective was giving to Memphis was 6 hours away and incredibly short notice. The story hints that notable Elephant 6 band Neutral Milk Hotel may be possibly considering doing some new work together. I’m not sure if I’d want that to happen, as they had a short but perfect streak of records in the 1990s.
Anyway, when you listen to the show, you should also check out the photo slideshow, as it’s very well done.
