Public Media Round-up: I know you, I like you, I care about you.

Here are some stories not related to the election or the olympics that you may have missed this week:

- People who don’t really know you on Facebook can’t handle rejection. Neither can your co-workers or ex-girlfriends. And the best part? They all look like Robert DiNiro.  (Though, I am inclined to agree with the reporter - being Facebook friends should at least mean we’ve spoken once in real life).

-  Do you ever wonder if people in foreign countries make more than you do? If you’re a sex worker, you can now compare your experience and wages with those of sex workers in Azerbaijan. The good news is, you’ll feel better about your income, no matter what you do. (Also - I love that Marketplace did a story on sex workers that recognizes what they do as an actual job. Good job, guys!)

- Mental hospitals have always kind of freaked me out. I know they help a lot of people, and not all of them are like the ones in “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest”, but I can’t help it. Morning Edition is doing a series on prisons - this is part two.

- Now you can find out once and for all who shot J.R.

- Lastly, I want to enter the Bad Writing Contest because it sounds amazing. Actually, scratch that. I want to judge it.
