I was cleaning out our spam comments, and noticed something kind of awesome. There only one comment flagged incorrectly. Also it shared an update on a story we posted earlier: St. Louis’ KWMU has (finally) decided to fire their general manager, Patty Wente.
This is fairly old news; it looks like the decision came down on June 2nd. If you’re interested in following up on the story, the blog, “Concerned Listeners of KWMU” has been following intently from the beginning.

A quick note to Pat Wente: I would have dropped you a note sooner, but I only received the news of your anticipated demise of your KWMU career yesterday. I’m sure with all the special talents you have showered upon your fellow contemporaries over the years; one of them will assist you to end up on your feet. Go for it girlfriend, try a new position, for a change. The other preferred position you were so fond of never worked for you, even with all the enthusiasm you put into it. I’ll be sure to share your situation with all I know that have had the pleasure of our husbands crossing your path over the years. There are so many of us that with all of our support and prayers, you’ll be sure to end up exactly where you deserve to be. Best of luck…happy holidays….
