None of this is as I planned.

Driving to my parents’ home while listening to “All Things Considered,” I heard a couple stories that I wanted to write about for you guys. I even called Kerry and had her email me the stories I wanted to write about.

I have just decided against them. I discovered “B-Side Radio,” another of the alt.NPR podcasts, which I haven’t listened to, but they have just completely topped us in terms of public radio geekery. This is wonderful. Listen to their story.

I heart Ira!

And so you know what the panties made you miss:

  1. Something about the G-Phone.
  2. Something about the use of James Thurber’s “The Secret Life of Walter Mitty” in political commentary, with a reading by none other than America’s Mayor, Mr. Adam West. (Actually, it’s someone named John Pritchett, but I defy you to conclusively prove that it’s not West.)
