When You Grow Up, You Can Be Whatever You Want

I’m not sure how they fit this in their programming, but NPR has done a story on Leslie Hall, the gem sweater lady.

To be fair, she’s not just the gem sweater lady - she’s also a rapper. Say what you will about a plus-sized lady in stretchy gold lame with a penchant for naming bejeweled sweaters things like “Moon Light Gravy”, but I love her whole aesthetic.  She has a song called “Blame the Booty”, which is amazing. It’s kind of blown my mind. I’m just sitting here, unable to really do anything but grin.  Yeah, it’s a bit strange, but she seems to be having a really good time.

Yet another reason to love public media - you know they wouldn’t cover this awesomeness on CNN.
