When I was in college and class got boring, I would compose really silly haikus about my professors in the margins of my notebooks. Usually, they were either about how much my astronomy prof wanted to be on Star Trek, or how my media research class was just a form of horrible math torture wearing a fun journalistic disguise. Sadly, now that I’m a grown up, I can only write silly haikus in notes from meetings, like this one, which is pretty much a direct quote from a dude I work with:
At the end of the
day, we are still architects.
We do have our pride.
Today, the “Bryant Park Project” is asking it’s readers / listeners to write pi-kus in honor of Pi day (which would be today, 3.14). A pi-ku is structured thusly - 3 syllable, one syllable, four syllables.
Like this:
So Southern
I
Can’t say Pi right.
Or this:
Dude, Matthew
get
Your recap done.
This is fun! One more:
Math is hard
I
failed alegbra.
Happy pi day! If you’re in Memphis, you should stop by r/s HQ tonight - we’re having a pi party (like a regular party, but with pie).
