According to Real Simple magazine, the secret to a happy marriage is listening to NPR. They’re absolutely right. If it wasn’t for NPR, Matthew would never be able to fact check me when I call him in the wee hours of Morning Edition to tell him important bits of breaking news. Not that I’ve ever done that.
Peter Sagal proceeds to point out the obvious - that Teri Gross can make any room a boudoir, and that Dan Schorr is the “Barry White of news analysis.” Sadly, Sagel doesn’t share the love with NPR’s own Hugh Hefner, Carl Kassell.
Speaking of Carl, he does a brilliant, slightly disturbing impression of Amy Winehouse around minute six. Alas, I’m not turned on.
Listen here, save your relationship.

Hey, just wanted to tell you guys that my friend pointed me to this blog today and I think it’s awesome. I’m a big public radio/public media fan (and a journalism student) and it’s great to see other people who understand how cool this stuff is.
